Everybody.  When I moved to Oz I wanted to get down to a few nice riders.  I did for a while, now I have three builds here on the go, and a heap of stuff turning up at my poor parents house on a weekly basis....

Go with it, it's fun!  ;)

All the time.
Stripped a build to intend to sell it all
Swopped the f&f for another f&f.
And used all the money plus more to buy more stuff.
And people say cracks additive.
Lol be lucky

I've been subjected to a strict 'one in, one out' rule for a while now - but in the process of hopefully finally buying a place of my own which has a garage (with a workshop on the side!)
Think it's safe to say that rule will be going out the window once the mancave's in effect  :teef:

Tried to get out in July last year, and failed.

MK, getting hold of my BITD BMX, meeting the lads in London and a few other things made me stay.  :4_17_5:

Very much the same, not bought any BMX parts for a couple of months and slowly restoring a few parts for my Jag Pro.  Have been restoring my old training road bike though, goes to the powder coaters this weekend for a nice bright white finish.  Bit of a change from its current purple over pink 90s finish!

I also think it helps keeping you occupied and out of trouble.  :)

I would love to get into owning classic cars. But that could cost ten's of thousands and then you need to put them somewhere. Where as bikes and parts you can hide all over place. Although the number of times I've been looking for something and come across something I bought years ago and forgotten I had.   :daumenhoch:

Good point mate.
I was thinking about getting a cheap old Porsche to tinker with, something like a 924 or 928,proper 80s,but I know it would just rinse my bank account dry.
At least with this hobby you can dip in and out of it when money allows ,it doesn't cost mega money and it's easy to store the bits.....

I think a lot of us have felt like this at some time. I've completed 3 bikes recently, and I honestly thought that I had reached the end of my building, UNTIL I bought another f&f last week  "help".  I now really don't have any more room, so unfortunately am going to have to sell off one of my bikes.

Would'nt mind this old 911 but £25000 start. One to add to the dream list.

It's the same with everything that has a following. Prices start low and it becomes popular, loads start collecting and the prices go up, people lose interest and sell loads of stuff giving the appearance it's dying off, others come along and see the low prices and buy everything up, and on it goes.
WANTED....FRED BLOOD QUADANGLE FRAME..
