ebay normally have a bargain to be had or try any good Bell lid stockist/motorcycle shop or the Bell website has some good deals. Pads as above or anything by TSG.

get your shinpads & knee pads seperate, the shins are the most impotant when riding again unless you like stitches :LolLolLolLol:
khe shinpads saved my foot so theyre what i would recommend

brand X from chainreactioncycles........knee/shin 19.99 and arm 14.99.

i've used these for about 8 months racing downhill mountain bikes and they've seen me right.

plus they're black so stealth looking.

& a nice troy lee helmet to finish to off.

tena lady, lil lets or dr whites. these are all good for all kinds of sporting activity. I would recommend a big Bell for a helmet.

Definitely a knee/shin combo (661), definitely gloves (any), definitely a full face lid (661 or Bell).

get seperate knee and shin as they dont tend to have protection for the back of your legs and there is sometimes other areas which would be covered with seperate knee/shinb pads that the combos dont cover, tsg are a good pad maker although they arent as good 661's have never failed me ... as for helmet id stay clear from a 661 lid as you can get an mx lid which may weight more but it will protect you for the same money ... id advise a bell/lazer/arai/shoei/fox helmet make sure it fits nice and tightlly and looks good(you are more likely to wear it if it looks cool)

Cool, one part I don't understand in your reply.........are you saying tsg are good but not as good as 661's? or are you saying they're better?

Cheers

tsg force  own  661. it all depends on your riding stlye if ya slamming hard  its tsg all the way, ive had both set ups and now would not trust 661 compard to tsg. but its up to you different things for different people.

tsg force are better than the 661 gear but dont get the tsg all terrain as they arent as good.... tsg force pads are the way to go

As Romkid said,  be sure to buy stuff you like the look of or you'll end up leaving it in your bag.  Don't skimp on pads and if you're absolutely, definately going to wear a helmet all the time, go out and get a quality MX lid from somewhere where you can get a proper fitting.  The MX lids are getting lighter and lighter these days and obviously, the more you spend the lighter they are  ;)

I have ProDesign knee and elbow pads. Absolutely the best bar none,  in my opinion, of course.  Dear as fook though. I'm a fairly big lad and i take some tumbles - they've saved me every time.  The big TSG stuff is decent kit, as is the larger Fox stuff.

I have a Bell Moto7 lid.  Lovely thing, does exactly what it says on the tin.  Looks cool as, also.  Again, not cheap although there are bargains to be found if you dig around last years designs  :)
