And the winner is.............
« on: May 08, 2014, 01:57 PM »
I had a bid on a 93 GT Performer today in Birmingham but got beaten.  Was a rusty looking thing but could have cleaned up well.  Was wondering if any of you guys stole from me  :LolLolLolLol:

As an avid watcher of Ebay I feel I could perhaps get some thearpy from knowing who won it.

Link?

Not that it'd be me as GT's not really my *cough* cup of tea.

Yeah but I set my limit and stuck to it.  I'm trying to learn the art of self control.

This is the second time this particular bike has been listed.  I missed it the first time whilst I was at work and there were no bids on it.  I contacted the guy and was told that it had sold outside of Ebay.

I'll put a link up later when I get home.  Can't use ebay at work.

Here's the link.  I think it definitely had promise.  I had one of those frames in 94 but it got stolen.  I was proper gutted as it took me ages to slowly swap all the parts for decent bits.

That went for more money than it was worth in my opinion. They come up quite often and more often than not they are in better shape than that.

Deffo not a 93, more like a 96, Gt still used the S bend in 93

as shakeyjakey has said definitely not a 93, the downtube went from the s bend to to the single bend for the 1995 models, i'm guessing 96 myself. I think the 95's only had calipers front and rear

To be fair to the guy his description does say "from about 1993".  I'd say it was a 94 frame.
