Stem For A GT Pro
« on: May 03, 2014, 07:56 AM »
So, what have you lads fitted on your GT Pro's?

I'm in the process of collecting parts for mine and the stem is the only part I've not considered as yet. I'm going with polished/silver/alloy finish on me bits.

Any suggestions?

Cheers Dan.

I went with a moody Tuff Neck on mine Dan

£20 plus post off egay and £3 for a decal off Del :daumenhoch:

Think it looks more race than the Suntours I use normally for some reason :-\

Was gonna strip and polish it but never got round to it......

Cheers Dan - sadly all sold on now but it rode really great :smitten:

Nick has it up for sale now - I built it on bits I had restored and were sat on my old Ammaco frame so although the parts list looks expensive,  it wasn't. I couldn't justify £75+ on a stem So found a copy on the bay.

The wheels have been on every build and will never be sold as they're my original Proclass from xmas day 1983 - my dad found them in his shed after 25yrs

I'm going for black also, and going for some chrome backed decals off Del eventually too. :daumenhoch:

SR would be a good reasonably priced option and easy to colourway as they were painted AFAIK.

My personal preference is a Redline Brute as used by Greg Hill but the price scares me off so Suntour Power Stem is what I've gone for as I used one BITD.
