Bit of urgent help needed
« on: May 03, 2014, 03:49 PM »
Hope this is ok with the mods that I post in this room with this question, I just need as many people to see it as possible so I can get it sorted urgently.

I am putting a newer Haro together for a mate, he has trouble parking at work, so he's going to drive towards work, park up and do the last mile on a bmx. He's on his way now to collect it.

He only wants a back brake, so I have robbed the brake off another newer bike that I bought for parts.

On the bike I took the brakes from the, mounting post is like this. The caliper arm slides on, and the small metal spring bit, pokes into one of the three holes.

But on the Haro, there are no little holes for the spring to go into. I can't figure out how to make the brake set up work.

Am I missing something obvious here?

Different type of brakes mate, never going to fit
Sixteen thirty-two. What is that? A year?   No, it's your top score on Pole Position.

Just googled it, and the posts look like those that use a U brake. Cheers :)
