i followed that link and for the 4x the spokes dont reach now alot of the nipples are sitting high in the rim,yet they are the correct spoke length 194mm,so i doubt i got to pay a shop approx £33-50 to do my rims and i have another 5-6 sets to do,so i dont know what i have done wrong as i tried to keep the nipples as loose as possible, and that was watching a guy on youtube so it goes to show how thick i am:/

There only difference between a 3x and 4x wheel is that 3x is over 2 spokes and under 1 and 4x is over 3 spokes and under 1.

Other than that it is the same.

You are actually getting the best experience ever, we have all had to completely start again at some stage, but it gets you used to building the wheel and also to sort out the problems yourself is invaluable.
