He's the rider in the video. He'd done similar things before without a problem but on that day it wasn't to be...  He shattered his legs and feet badly and ultimately before he was even properly healed (if that were ever to be), events in his personal life lead to his suicide.

Tragic.  One of my all time favourite riders. World Long Jump record holder  (117ft or summat crazy like that), arguably the first person to pull a double flip back in 95  (it was him or Miron), and a rider known for huge gaps.

Yeah, I've seen that.  I have an earlyish Props video and Winkelmann goes all the way round, lands both wheels but is so bent out of shape the impact of landing basically makes him pass out....

I don't know which one was filmed first though - but i believe they were both filmed in 95.

Wow, that's very sad; this clip has been posted before and I was amazed the guy on the road bike survived the front flip - never realised the first dude on the van ramp was Colin Winkelmann, he was defo a rad dude.   It's such a shame that people have to end their lives to escape their pains and demons, the ones that then suffer are those they leave behind - it never goes away  RIP.
