ok... I'm probably being a complete plum asking this.... but only now noticed that the tuffs I have , have got the "patent no , skyway , tuffwheel II" all on the central rib of the wheel, and I've also seen them with all of the above on the braking surface of the wheel.  what's the deal?

The very early ones with steel hubs and the early first lot of alloy hubbed ones had it on the brake surface.
