dia compe markings(stamped)

hi there,

 were dia compe centre pull brakes ever stamp with 5593 ,or were they just stamped
with 5583 on the back as im looking at buying one but the seller says its stamped 5593
and all the others ive seen say 5583,can anyone clear this up for me,i just wanna be sure
it not a copy before I buy

IIRC 5583 was a model and had nothing to do with the year

thanks for that,i just took off the old centre pull brake,i thought it was a cheap version
as the front brake was  real cheap brake,but it turns out the rear brake is a dia compe 750
 stamped 87 and still has the original dc cable in it so im one happy chap

Also should be marked Dia Compe and have a circle with date on. 

Guessing you found that as you say its an 87.
