Oven pride de anno not worked ???

No pictures but got some ct crank arms in black ,tried the oven pride
Done fook all , just left the arms matt black  :-\
Used it before on parts sometimes done in under a min .

Any ideas ? Thanks  :daumenhoch:

as above. try nitromors, if not that then move on to caustic. you sure its not powdercoat? pix would help....

Or it might be what they call Hard Anno ... have a couple of goes with Oven pride or get Caustic as Phil said  :daumenhoch:

Sugino CT cranks are 4130 Cro Moly so are not annodised.  Did you mean Sugino GT?

What colour were they before?  Ovenpride can sometimes turn the alloy a blackish colour due to the contaminants on the alloy surface, it should polish off.

If they have been left Black surely there is No anno on there  ???

That discolouration only normally happens once the anno has been removed and is a sigh to Stop  :daumenhoch:

My mistake gt  :) now with pics , they were mat black last night after oven pride , today after work got a sort of green tinge to them  ???

They look like there stripped to me  :-\

Try a bit of wet and dry on them , they should come up silver/alloy  ;)
WANTED : Old school BMX patches/sew on badges ......  please  :)

I know what you mean , but 2nd pic down, right hand side of sugino decal
( which dident come off either lol ) is bare alloy the rest dident take , as you say maybe would polish up ok
With allott of work  :)
I've used this stuff on pedals calipers etc
Left em for 5 mins , striped back to bare metal , wash off under tap dry & autosol for
Shiny shiny
These have pi55ed me off  :LolLolLolLol:

The lettering has stayed as its paint . This has also stopped the ammo being stripped underneath . Unfortunately when ally is stripped it takes shit loads of work 2 get a nice finish again . I just done an Ultra Dyno resto the same. Pics in this board bit lower down  ;)
