Hi guys

I have some lovely NOS Black Oakley point 5's that I purchased off one of our seasoned members about a year back (sorry, no they won't be for sale). They are destined for a build but I'm starting to think that black b2's would suit it better.

Now I know there won't be many about, even less that people want to let go, but my question is: do you guys think it's a fair trade to offer, or should I be offering an additional sweetener?

thanks in advance for any thoughts/feedback  :4_17_5:

B2's appear to be the ones that people want, I'm not too familiar with the ones you have, so maybe either they're very rare, or not desirable.

I'm no expert, maybe pics of yours, and what you want will help.  :daumenhoch:

Fair point, maybe I'm being far too optimistic, as you say it's usually b2's that everyone wants. None the less I'll dig out a couple of photos tomorrow when I get a mo.

Much appreciate. Night all.

Morning Pete,

B2s are more desirable but probably because .5s are rarer. Out of the two, I'd take the .5s all day.  :daumenhoch:

Thanks buddy.

Hope you're well & speak to you in a few weeks now. Don't forget, I haven't ;)

Will be 'off radar' for a couple of weeks from next weekend as work are sending me away again  :'( but I'll drop you a line on my return.

All good Pete, when you're ready my friend. I can't believe I searched high and low for about two years for the right set and when I finally do, I decide to sell it all.  :idiot2: at least I know they'll be going on the right build.  :daumenhoch:

What are you building mate? .5s were released in 1980, B2s were 83....

If someone out there wants black .5's for a build and they have a pair of b2's that aren't needed, I'm sure they would do a straight trade.  Get a post in the various trades and see what comes up  :)

Jaan, thanks for the date info, that really helps. They'ed be destined for an 84 build so the B2's would make more sense, though digging the point5's out did make me realise how nice they are, and they'll go on the build non-the-less if some suitable b2's don't materialise.

Thanks again guys.

What about using Oakley 2's instead?

Which ones were the 2's, were they all round (hope that makes sense). I mean, not like the Hutch/Tange etc. What years were 2's?
