After you chaps have spent eons polishing your alloy bits, do you leave them raw or clear coat them?

I've never clear coated any of my polished parts. Not sure if it would stick as there is no key to the service. Just give them a wipe with a cloth if you get any paw prints on them.  :)

Polishing kit in to a drill. Other people do have proper polishing mops.

This is a good starter kit

One build a year, the only way to get it right. No rushing involved.

Bit of advice - buy 6" polishing mops rather tha 3 or 4"......... lot easier on the hands and you're less likely to loose any digits.
You always need a cheese option......

The finish depends how much time you spend polishing. Be careful not to polish out any stamping.  :daumenhoch:

+1 on the drill.

ive ordered more mops and got the wax bars delivered earlier, could be doing with a more powerful grinder though any pressure on it and it stops

easiest way is fit cone to drill then put the drill in a bike stand thats adjustable that way you can move all around while  your polishing, be carefull though i did a sprocket once and it caught and
hit me in the head, nothing wrong with a bit of blood for the love of old bmx  :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol:
