How to fade stuff... like grips?

anyone know a way to fade brightly coloured stuff .... like grips? other than long periods of bright sunlight

I've tried the washing machine. Instead of putting in detergent I've put in bleach. If you do this rember to run the washing machine through hot a couple of times to remove all traces. It sometimes works and sometimes doesnt. I think it must depend on how they were stained originally.

Will give the bleach a go as well 

What about boiling in bleach?

I don't know enough about boiling bleach . Maybe there's some bomb makers on here could help

Not tried that. Might work. I would guess it may speed up the process keep a close eye on them though.

The best way to fade stuff is UV; you need the sun.  Send them to me and I will leave them out in the yard for a few days
