I seem to remember watching it at primary school in the special hut that had a TV in it. I think it was part of a health related series for schools?
I do not have a problem with repop parts. I went to rad this year with a shopping list of wants (og stuff) and repop parts I knew would work just fine. I was super lucky at rad and found everything on my list, forgot to buy a Tourney caliper but never mind. The repop parts were a Nitto MX2 stem, still made by Nitto and looks the danglies. The other repop parts were tyres, now this is open to debate I know. I have built bikes with og used and nos tyres and to be honest I think it is a waste of time. Firstly I am loathe to ride them and secondly old rubber is bad rubber. I am a repop tyre convert, the comp II style tyres look great and I can ride them.
One issue that is very under-reported is that of fake parts, a direct result of demand for nos and the rise of repop; I do not think the two can be divorced. I would love to see Suntour parts come back, but that business left the quality end and went down market back in the day so it is hard to see how that could happen.
