1983/4 Direct Link
« on: February 16, 2014, 06:58 PM »
I have been collecting a few items to update my Direct Links with and decided to get them out and fit them today.

I'm really happy with them how they stand now and that will be it  :daumenhoch:

1983...

1984...

Thanks  :daumenhoch:

Lovely Terry, a rare set up on this or any shore  :daumenhoch:

A group shot would have finished the post off a treat.

Thanks gents  :)

I was really struggling for time against the light Chris. It was last minute decision to come to the coast today and get them swapped out and started them late. I will do some better shots in the summer when they are fully complete  :daumenhoch:

Liked these when you first put them up but they look even slicker now bro!
Cool as fook & makes me wanna ride one just by the look of them.Super clean lines .
Very nice Terrence!  :4_17_5:

How do they ride bud? Those forks look like they angle quite far forward from the pics.

I really, really love those Direct Links Terry.  I am always drawn to the obscure BMX's and these really make me moist.   :LolLolLolLol:

Really cool :4_17_5:
if it's the same company, they went on to make alloy race frames,  Dingo had a belter, fairly sure there was an SE connection with the ally ones

Thanks a lot guys, I am over the moon with them now. Just a couple of small details to sort on them, change the dropout savers at the rear and red pro pads on the '84 and they are finally complete  :)

How strong are they at the drops ?
They look really strong and put together well. I couldn't tell you how 'flexxy they are though Ash as I have not ridden one yet, something I look to change this summer ;-)

I am hoping to get them both to MK this year so you can have a ride if you like mate  :daumenhoch:

Really cool :4_17_5:

They did Si  :daumenhoch:  I think they are still going today. There is guy in Oz, Nick, who owns a NOS A.I.R Direct Link frame which he obtained form the owner of DL, Tim. I think there were only 10 made and it is stunning  :coolsmiley:

;D  you know that. My sister lives on the other side of the Chichester road and that was the best place to take them  :daumenhoch:

Nice little tweeks Terry  :coolsmiley:

There's something about blue and chrome bikes that have the edge over red and chrome but both very, very nice
