Battle of the New School DTTs - Supercross VS Subrosa
« on: February 13, 2014, 01:50 PM »
So I've been riding my DTT Supercross for a couple of years now ... with a short departure to a Anniversary Condor ... but now thanks to Gra Wadz a Subrosa DTT has stepped up to challange.

I love my ol'Cross but always wonder about other frames ... will the Subrosa finally mean I sell the SX for good.

There's only 2 of these in the country according to Bill Ryan from Supercross  8)

The current rider ... WAL'd up because WAL decals look so sick.

The challanger ... Subrosa DTT

Give the Subrosa a few sessions before you pass judgement, changing loads of things at once is going to make it feel very strange when you ride it. :)

Subrosa built and ridden  :welcome to the world of Subrosa  :daumenhoch:

First thoughts were very 'twitchy' and a bit short ... but the length was more a mental block as it seemed to feel longer than my SX. Kept Gra's advice in mind and stuck with it with an open mind for the rest of the evening... and loved it by the end...

Definitely gonna stick with this now and find the Supercross a new home  :daumenhoch: stuck a liitle 'swap' thread in to see if I can trade the Subrosa up for a 21" but I'm not really fussed either way ...

Most of all I felt myself gripping the bars more and keeping off the brake

to be honest Rob ... I really liked the Subrosa.

Don't know if it was the combination of new frame/forks/crank/peds that felt so good but to be honest if I went for another frame it would be a longer Subrosa ... Gra was right ... I'm converted  :daumenhoch:

The old Supercross Extension is going to have to go for good  :daumenhoch:
