A couple of BITD pics
« on: August 01, 2006, 09:34 PM »

Didn't everyone have one of these sketchy quarter pipes! Brings back memories of stealing plywood from the local building site in the middle of the night  ;D

No idea what I'm wearing that stupid hat for in pic 3 :-[

I alway wanted a series one GT Performer but never got one, I loved my Haro Sport but a yellow performer is what I craved for.

COOL BIKE!
Do you know what "nemesis" means? A righteous infliction of retribution manifested by an appropriate agent. Personified in this case by an 'orrible cnut... ME!

Couple more... all of the q.pipe pics were in a town called Linlithgow that 99% of you probably won't even have heard of.  The track in the lovely setting is Falkirk.

Looking at these pics now I can't believe how often I changed the bits on my bike.  I don't remember buying half that stuff.... ???

I know Linlithgow....in fact in 1985 when we moved from Aberdeen to Dunfermline, we did some house hunting in L'gow, Falkirk, Kincardine etc.  My Dad was moving to work at Kincardine Power Station.  Anyway while in Linlithgow, i spotted a quarter-pipe just off what i thought was the main street in town....and decided there and then that that was where we should move to.

The BMX scene did not sway my parents and we moved to Dunfermline....which worked out after all.

And now my wifes parents live in Bonnybridge so am back in that area quite a bit

Great pics though

Is that a Kappa jacket as well.....wicked...we wore them as well.

Cheers

Fraser

Yeah I went to school with both Russ H and Russ C.  The first two pics on this post are Russ Hall.  Still see him now and again but haven't seen Russ C for a few years.  How do you know them?

I see Russ Hall skating Livi now and then, he's really good, I know him as I worked with his brother for a few years

As for Russ C he lives in Aberdeen working in the oil industry and now has 2 kids, he still skates sometimes and also rides motorbikes
