This came up for sale early in January. Tom (Rad Pitt) was moving it on after buying it and never finding the time to get on with it.

It's one from my wish list, but was down the list, but I kept going back to Tom's sale thread, and sent him a pm. I'd met Tom a couple of years back and knew he was a good guy, so a deal was done, thanks Tom.

So with a knackered boiler, and being so soon after Christmas I had to tread carefully laying out cash on parts, but I shifted my Performer and had a bit of spare cash to obtain a few bits.

As you all who know me, it's never going to be Ukai Speedlines and Redline Flights, but going down the repop road may annoy some of you, but it suits my wallet, and frees up the high end stuff for you guys.

I wanted to keep it clean and simple, so aimed for gold and yellow to go with the chrome. I'd seen Carl's GT Pro a couple of years ago, and liked the look, so for these.

So we have some:

repop A'me's from eBay
Hsin Lung Foo Yung bars off Gaz (Rollin')
Suntour Powerstem off Chris (Jaan)
Repop DC clamp from Alan's
Tange MX2 headset from Moonster
gold nips
Sealed bearing Suzues off Dave (Brummie)
Valve caps off ScottyB
Shimano pedals off Jai
Sugino 44t chain ring off eBay
and
some 7x stylee rims from Aussie land that arrived today.

I'll be getting the rest of the bits with some help from Rooski over the next few months, then this will be out in Chester in April.

It's funny Dan me and Andy (Mr DTTDB  :LolLolLolLol: )  were only talking about this frame today and how we both would love to do a Patty in the future ;)
Looks like it going be a sweet build when it's done mate :smitten:
Can't wait to see it finished :daumenhoch:

I was thinking of adding a bit of red too and having A'me Unitrons if I could afford it....
Yellow and gold is going to look good though :coolsmiley:

Cheers Ant, I don't really know much about Patty's, only that every time I've seen one, I always like the look of them. :daumenhoch:

You need these

You're not having them though.  :LolLolLolLol: US made Patty Pro bars.  :coolsmiley:

 :)

I never paid a lot for them Dan. They're on my Profile Champ Pro now.

You cant go wrong with gold in your build on that frameset.  :4_17_5:

Good choice of components so far  :daumenhoch:

Cheers Terry, the rest of the parts will be:

Gold Tech 3
Gold DC caliper??
Yellow Kashi Aero
Sugino spider
Sugino or Takagi 1 piece
1.75 Comp III's
Yellow cable
Tange BB
and a repro padset.

I prefer building the race bikes now, I've done the Freestylers and race bikes just seem easier to get the parts together, no arsein about trying to get the right colours etc.

Well said Ant! Yes, strange that we were talking about this very bike yesterday. Like I've said before Dan, I was looking at the for sale thread and hovering over the dib dobs button on this. Really nice bike - lovely colour combo with the decals. Yellow and gold parts always look great on these. Can't wait to see this at Chester. Keep us all updated - more pics please!
