Rear Caliper Choice For An '83 Race Bike??

I'm guessing the most obvious choice would be an MX1000, but I'm not sure if my budget will stretch, we'll see. 

I just wondered what other alternatives others had used, from that era?

Those that know me, know my builds, no snobbery there.

I've had those repop MX1000's on my Haro FST, they're shoite.

The hardware is electroplated so a goldy colour, the MX is too small, but worst of all, they're impossible to set up and centralise.
