Just wondering if I fancy a little tootle round the track at MK do I need full protection gear. Or just backwards cap and skyway tshirt ?

helmet and gloves with long sleeve shirt and trousers is a bare minimum  ;)

but i would strongly advise to wear elbow and knee pads as its a dusty slippery track  :daumenhoch:

as said, Helmet (I'd go full face) and gloves a minimum but i'd go as covered as you feel comfortable.  elbow and knee/shin pads are good if you come off.

Oh and no pegs on your ride if you're going round on your new school ride  :daumenhoch:

Another thing, if you plan on racing in the Old School category (and everyone should have a go, it's a great laugh) then your bike needs to have a 1" threaded headset and a caliper brake (or pitt bull).
If your ride is 1 1/8th headset or V brake then it cannot be ridden in the Old School group.
