Whats the going rate for a MRD Badlander?
« on: January 14, 2014, 05:46 PM »
I looking for a rough idea for current going rate as the whole fook up that is the Badlander is starting to leave a mildly bad taste that I can't be doing with.

I might sell as frame only with forks thrown in for show use only, or I might sort a set of landing gears, but not sure if I can be arsed.  Or I might cut it up and make a hat stand......

Thank you
Bert

It was bought as a complete with the intention of being a rider......... That's why I'm titsed off with it.  The forks wouldn't have lasted 5 minutes with my weight on them  ;D no way I'd ever had known till I was eating gravel........

No, only found out about the forks when I swapped the stem out trying a different colour combo........ I can't cast aspersions without being 100%, buts It's the idiocy of not coming clean if they knew even though I made it fairly clear I wanted it as a rider.  First bad landing I'd have squashed the old gentleman sausage at the very least........

A set of aero reflex forks are a good imitation ,they look near enough the same, are brazed, but don't have the cutout in the dropouts.

It's been discussed as an option  :daumenhoch: - fairly straight forward to mod the aero forks........ In an ideal world I'd de braze a set of forks for the steerer and re braze the MRD legs back on, but I don't have the gear anymore for serious restoration work.  I'm just out of love with it.

Looking more than likely.  Picking up a mark 2 vector in a couple of weeks then going to concentrate on finishing a few builds.

I've a pending dib dobs on it from a while back, but if things don't work out it'll be up for grabs.

Isn't funny how these are now desirable. I was at Romford in the early 90's on my chrome badlander and had the piss taken out of it. That prompted me to give it away and get an airmaster. I sold the airmaster for peanuts too! !  :(
I'm probably completely wrong but I seem to remember the decals being different on my old mrd..I vaguely remember mine having a western theme to them. Forgive me if I'm way off its nearly 25 years ago.
