Sixteen thirty-two. What is that? A year?   No, it's your top score on Pole Position.

Always good to find an anodiser.

Anodising isn't expensive though, my guy charges £15 for a pair of rims (including polishing).

Those prices sound great!  :daumenhoch: Any chance you guys could share any contact details on the ano front as looking to get quite a few bits done. Also do the colours match the OG parts you've had done?
Any help appreciated.
Cheers,Mike  :daumenhoch:

Just heard back from the place near me, they reckon around a tenner for a stem or brake calipers. Will get some pics up when they finish the clamp  :daumenhoch:

Clint, it shocked me the first time I had something anno'd.  I was thinking this cannot be right, it is too cheap.

Would be good to see what other results you get with your contact, I love seeing stuff that members rescue.

Do you have to polish it first?
I've been thinking about getting stem re-annoyed a different colour as the original has started to fade. Only issue is that it is etched with writing. I was hoping to just give it a CS bath, quick rub over and get it annoyed.

The best finish for anno is machined finish, if the old anno is removed it leaves the surface a matt finish so you will have an ano in a matt colour, if you remove the ano and polish it and it has any scratches to the surface this will be highlighted with the end result, it copies the surface but just colours it, any alluminium i take for anno i spray the parts with carburettor /induction  cleaner and a tooth brush especially if you polish it because it will draw the black out of the alloy making it patchy just like what comes out on a rag after polishing it.
so if you polish it make sure it is clean  , the spray will clean the pours of the alloy and it evaporates  :daumenhoch:

I use CCA as he appreciates BMX and the importance of a sympathetic finish. I had a set of painted Skyway pedals that I sent, not only did he strip them but he reinstated the brushed finish when anodising. He also reproduced the matt and polished finishes to a set of VX cranks, all for peanuts. Like Sean said I thought a mistake had been made when I heard the price on the first batch...
