I'd be up for doing a bit :daumenhoch: I'm still using cd's (and vinyl, but only for a bit of run/retro value)  - haven't gone to mp3 controllers yet. My standard gear is a Pioneer DJM500 mixer (over 10 years old & works like a dream), and Pioneer CMX3000 cd decks - basically the same as CDJ's, but separate unit/controller so they can be rack mounted. CDJ's hadn't been released when I bought them! I use cdj's when playing bars/clubs etc though, as they usually have these installed as standard.

BTW: I had a Chas & Dave tribute band (yes there is one!) play at my wedding in 2012. They were quality! Met the real Chas & Dave twice - top blokes!

Sounds great Jono!

My tastes are right across the board. DJ'ed since '97. Started out in my student union playing everything from rock, house, pop, hip hop - anything really...  Then went to playing bars/clubs mainly in Liverpool and Manchester. Hip Hop, reggae, soul/funk/disco and house mostly.  Did a couple of nights at Nation (home of Cream) in Liverpool. They were joint events with Cream and the NUS.  Also DJ'ed in Venice playing at a party organised & hosted by the CEO of the Revolution bar chain. Semi retired now as I work shifts, so can't commit to doing regular nights week in week out, but still do a bit.

A dream music line up for me would have to include:

Kraftwerk
New Order
Depeche Mode
Pixies
Masters at Work/Nuyorican Soul
Stevie Wonder
Papa Michigan & General Smiley, and/or Yellowman
Fabio/Grooverider/DJ Friction/High Contrast - you get the idea..
AC/DC
De La Soul

plus loads of others.....

Any other takers for this?

My tastes are right across the board. DJ'ed since '97. Started out in my student union playing everything from rock, house, pop, hip hop - anything really...  Then went to playing bars/clubs mainly in Liverpool and Manchester. Used to do 3/4 nights per week - Hip Hop, reggae, soul/funk/disco and house mostly.  Did a couple of nights at Nation (home of Cream) in Liverpool. Also on the bill were Graeme Park, John Kelly & Yousef. They were joint events with Cream and the NUS.  Also did a few nights at the excellent alternative/indie/punk/anything goes 'Liquidation' night at Le Bateau, Liverpool. Also DJ'ed in Venice playing at a party organised & hosted by the CEO of the Revolution bar chain. Semi retired now as I work shifts, so can't commit to doing regular nights week in week out, but still do a bit. If any of you have been to Alma de Cuba in Liverpol, you may have seen me there from time to time...

 :daumenhoch:

Only seen them once in 2005 at the Electric Picnic festival in Ireland. Mangaed to get pretty close to the front too! Best live band/artist I've ever seen (and I've seen a fair few!).

Gutted that I missed out on getting tickets for the recent London shows  :'(
