« on: December 21, 2013, 05:20 PM »
Gents,

In my hungover state today have been having a butchers at eBay.

Would be interested what you thought about these and whether you had ever owned them? I am not after buying them, purely interested in knowing more! :)

As an owner of a few old rare donkey's, I find rarity doesn't have that much of an effect on the value........
Some of mine are 1 of e or 4 about bur you are only appealing to a small market  :LolLolLolLol:
Most oc the readily available mass market stucf goes cor more dosh....
My rule 8s ic you like it &  an buy it then do so............

Im quiet pissing though  :LolLolLolLol:  :LolLolLolLol:
WANTED : 1" freestyle forks, uglier the better

The figures did seem high, but I am still quite new to this!

The EK one would be something I would find it hard to not ride! The Y-3 I have read was £1895 from new. As its a WTP base, you are purely paying for a brand - plus that one is battered!

No doubt I will be spending more drunken time looking at stuff - just glad even if I hit 'BUY IT NOW' - I would not have enough money in my Paypal to cover it!

Thanks for the updates…..  :daumenhoch:

Chubby is right....
in any hobby or collection rarity doesn't always=huge price
Burners, choppers etc are sought after because they were popular back in the day and hence the high prices
I used to buy and sell the odd book.... an obsure 1st edition from 1880s would never match the frenzy of a Harry Potter 1st for example :daumenhoch:

What is the most expensive bike anyone has seen in the last 5 or so years? I seem to recall seeing one for $12,000 on the Museum!

Appreciate that bikes are a very personal item. I am a GT and Skyway lover myself. I guess people pay what they need to (and can afford) to realise a dream!

BTW - Merry Christmas chaps.

"I'm quiet pissing"   --- Is that a real expression or has Chubbs only just 'invented' that....? :chin:
