Almost spot on there ive been collecting/hoarding  :LolLolLolLol: old bmx's as they used to be known since "prebay" days.

Where I used to live when I was in my mid 20's, all the kids that lived on a large estate near me used to knock on my door to sell me any old bmx's that they had got from the tip, or they gave there mates a tenner for there old shitter because they knew they would sell them to me for more. They even used to turn up with wheels or frames. Word got around as the kid who was the best local rider used to work for me after school and weekends labouring. Before I knew it I had about 50 frames and a huge amount of skyways and arayas and hoards of old bmx parts in my garage. All this was because when I was looking at having a go at riding again there was nothing about that i liked our local bike shops only had cheap shit in as bmx was pretty dead at the time. I was building them to ride to destruction on ramps, hence the vast stock I was concerned bmx was going to finish so I needed plenty of spares. I swapped the forks from the kuwi and it ended up with Torker 540 forks in it as a mate of mine was working for me and he started riding as well so he was using my stash of bits as well he had the forks. I then bought an S&M heavy as fook and the stash was left alone for a while. Then in 1995/96 I had a skip on a job that was not full and I skipped a load of frames and wheels bars etc and only kept the ones in better condition which I still have. We bent a load of old frames over the side of the skip, most did'nt have stickers on so I cant remember what we wrecked, two I do remember were a Ripper that had been welded on the rear stay and a TA that was a bit rusty. I only kept about 10 frames so god knows what I have wrecked on the side of that skip I still have nightmares about it now. Just after that as well my next door but one neighbour wanted a cheap bmx for his son so I sold him a complete chrome torker I had built with yellow skyways for £50. Then I discovered ebay a couple of years later and it got its old school title and the rest is bmx history.

So thats my story and how my ET that came from the tip ended up without its forks. :tickedoff:

But never mind at least I kept a few. :daumenhoch:
