Paint Stripping
« on: December 17, 2013, 05:02 PM »
Hi want to strip the paint off my FBM Gypsy as it looks $hit & if the frame looks good raw I will get it clear-coated, if not it will go to SBD for some new paint/powder.

Anyway what good to strip paint, I used to use Nitromors, is this still good, or is there something better  ???

Not to be confused with Rustins Strypit, which is, erm, not very good

Not thread hijacking.  :-\ Do you have to be more careful with Starchem than Nitromores as the former is stronger? I know if you use plastic gloves Nitormores burns through them. Whats best to use?

Hope you dont mind me posting this CD17.  :)

was going to post up the strypit stuff , as an alternative, personally i find it ok , good on spray, factory paint finish,  takes a bit of time to get  powder to blister but it does work

Ah ok, maybe it was something I did wrong, had a devil of a job removing plastikote glass spray from some DXs. Must admit it smells like it should do the job
