I used a socket spanner on the nut inside the pedal Fishy
got any hints for pin resto ... got some GT DXs that need missing pins replacing

Yep, anything like that. It comes off really easy I think I used Rustins Strypit.
well the smell was like thinner's ...and it's all i found in the basement in sufficient amount to cover the pedals with ...lazyness breeds invention, like my first dealer used to say ....
DOH !!!!!!!!!!!!Stripped my gold ones a treat though.....
