Barn find. Mid school GT
« on: November 23, 2013, 10:08 PM »
found this GT lurking amongst a pile of old motorcycles where I was working today.

It is available for sale, but I wasn't sure of what to offer. I'd have only given £30 for it as is but I got the impression the owner thinks it might be worth a bit more, so said i'd ask on here for a fair idea of value and if anyone might be interested in buying it. It needs a lot of resto work, but it all looks to be completely original. Tyres and cables are well fooked and there is a lot of rust on the frame and components. I'm confident it would clean up ok though.

Clean it up with a New set of tyres or clean it , split it, eBay it & get £150  ;)
Nice find either way ;)

Ok, so if I could get it and ship it to you, what would you want to pay altogether?

Hmmm....depends on what the seller would let it go for I guess  :daumenhoch:

Any ideas on what they would want?

Well he was smiling and making jokes about it being worth hundreds  ::) I told him no chance and definitely not in that condition. I have no clue what its worth or potentially could be worth. I just know that I would only have offered £30 and gone up to a max of £50. It does need a lot of work that I don't have time for at the moment. Hence why I posted on here to see if someone like yourself who is more knowledgeable and into mid school stuff might be interested in trying to buy it. I think it will just sit where it is and rot otherwise.

I'll try £30 to start if you wanted, but would need to know how high you were willing to go if he rejects that. Then of course there would be postage cost to consider.
