Mongoose Supergoose 3 Brake Levers Tech 2, Tech 3 or Tech 4 ?

Looking for a bit of advice from any Mongoose guys.

I am trying to finish off my 83 Supergoose 3 to original spec and I am not sure which Dia Compe levers it would have come with, I am thinking Tech 3`s ?

Anyone know for sure, I don`t want to spend ages looking for the wrong ones !!

It should be a DC pre-bent lever bud. Tech 2 was on the Pro Class.

I dunno Chris, my Supergoose 3 survivor had Tech 3's.

You may well be right.

I was going by the 82/83 catalogue, but if Mongoose are anything like Kuwahara seeing it in a catalogue doesn't necessarily make it so...

I had one new for christmas in 1983, eventually swapped them to DC, there was a lot of own brand parts on them

Not on mine they didnt....



Mine is an 84 (Ammaco UK Model), so who knows how many different specs there were?

Lee Chi branded Pro Class calipers and levers... got a full set front and back in alloy if anyone wants em

Cheers Chris, it's only a semi survivor sadly now, I stripped it down in April 2011 and polished and restored as much as I could. Some parts were beyond fixing though.

mine was a august 83 usa made supergoose 3, pro class brakes, stem, bars, spider and ring

heres the spec



i had put some parts on the frame for a cousin to ride about on, had it until about 2 years ago, put it on ebay for 99p, along with all my other bits for 99p, before i got into this site.

about 86 when i sold my sport and was waiting for my fst to be delivered
