OK, I've had this sitting waiting for a new paint job because, well it's yellow and was very scratched but I decided to clean it up and after a whole day of wire wooling and T-cut, the thick powder has come up nicely  :)
It still has bits of paint missing but I like survivors.

Chopped some new decals up and here it is... :smitten:

that's epic  :daumenhoch:

Nice Zima I can remember riding with Steve when he was building these frames with his Dad at Sway in the New Forest. Steve's Dad used to make the Rickman frames, he was in the same league as Brian Curtis and Mick Whitlock.

The best bars for this build would be a set of Milky Bars that were also manufacturerd at the same time just up the road in Winchester by Geoff Cain, Geoff made a few sets of Milky Bar necklaces for his riding buddies, I have still got mine  ;D

I had stopped riding before the Curtis magazine feature does anyone know why the race frame was named Powell? Brian Curtis's apprentice and my old team mate was called Michael Powell and he was tragically killed in a RTA, was this frame named after him?

custom riders rgd/static shafted stem, choice of long, short or inverted

brakes, rob ridge 8mm axle, sealed bearing converted acs boa's (closest to british brakes you will get) if u didn't have brake mounts

brake levers you could use x-lite brake levers from 94

Rims - don't think any were ever manufactured here......

Maybe a bit of a cheat/early for Mid really despite ongoing debate/flexy, but what about UK-made Skyways? late 80s?

;D not a bad suggestion! if it were earlier 90s it could be an option.

Got the headset in...not 100%  :Great_Britain: but I fitted a Rekka lower cup and Gsport Ringpiece....

Static inverted stem in situ....

Any ideas on canti breaks fellas?  :-\
cranks are looking tricky too...I've got Fishbone but they're overseas made I reckon...as mentioned a set of Payload Wishbone arms would be a treat if anybody knows of a set!

I may go down the route of 24seven arms if nothing else comes up  :-[

Maybe ask Dan if he's got a set of Wishbones? Thing is, didn't Static stuff get made overseas? Fishbone's a Tai company  :daumenhoch:

Maybe just try and stick to UK companies (but the bits are made abroad).

 :LolLolLolLol:

I couldn't remeber if they started off like that and then went abroad later. Fairly certain the forks they made after them stems were made in Tai. Dunno though Skidders  :daumenhoch:
