2Hip Pork - Brakes??
« on: November 08, 2013, 07:24 PM »
To anyone that has owned a 2Hip Pork, is there any chance that you could shed some light on which rear brake to use?

From what I can gather, the alloy Pork has more clearance at the rear than the cromo Pork, and can therefore handle a 990 brake.

The problem I have is that im building a cromo model and have attempted to fit a 990.....and theres no way in hell it could ever work :(.  It simply fouls the bottom of the top tube just past the seat tube.

Was this a major design fault or was there a specific caliper that was used back in the day?  Im sure an Evo would fit but its so much newer than the frame.....so whats the crack lads?

I've heard about this problem 2 what you need to do is cut the frame in half and then wrap in a bin liner, then throw it in the bin! The brake will fit then :daumenhoch:
