Got an idea  ;) and know the principle behind it all, even seen a few catamarans etc built on how its made  :LolLolLolLol: but hoping some of you lot work or have experience with it  ???

Sixteen thirty-two. What is that? A year?   No, it's your top score on Pole Position.

I have worked with Carbon fibre in a structural manner on Harriers.  If you get it right then it is good get it wrong and it is so brittle.

"help" BMX wheels good luck "help"

Got bigger plan then wheels this time guys  :)
Just wondering whether layering it up in a negative mold or forming it round a dense Polystyrene shape and vacuum bagging it would be a better option?

Are you going to use pre preg?
Or try and mix your own.  The resin will normally react with Polystyrene.  We used to use heat lamps to get it to set correctly but the big problem is getting it laid up with delam.  a vacum cam help with that as you have already said

Just looking into the options at the mo but just found a guy in the states who built his own blade style road bike.
Basically shaping polystyrene to form all the main sections, top tube chain stays etc then wraping in carbon fibre he had applied the resin to. He seemed to get good results with the vac bag but i would imagine you get a much smoother finish using negative molds and the whole shape can be done in one shot (well two with the left and right side) ???
