Any info would be welcome, I keep reading that  the 400 is different but i have a cooke bros spinal that fits exactly but would like a unit that supposed to work together.

I've seen 3 options one of which is advertised as working with all manner of cranks & the guy (coffeemilk) off of ebay swears they work but he's bloody expensive.

Also seen this :

i doubt any of them will fit, i had the same problem a few years ago trying to get an axle for my 400s. i bought a square taper axle like the ones above and it was a little bit small and the cranks wouldn't tighten up, i ended up using a shim made from a coke can which worked until i eventually bought an original axle and bearings from here. i think the diamond back harry leary cranks are the same.

Cheers chaps, yeah they are for a pony i have one bb but the arms go to far on & theres no room for the dust cap to fit on the arm as the spindle protrudes.... Yeah the sugino 400 the redline & the harry leary cranks all use the same hardware, i think its really the bearings that i need as i have a cook bros spindle that came with it & fits well. The guy had the lot 7 it all came off of a cw cruiser but he left the rest of the bb in the frame as he didnt know how to take it out.   The frame has been sold & i think collected today so im hoping its new owner  can sort me out with the parts... from his frame ???

How much on eBay?
Try Gumtree it's cheaper

I think you'll have the same problem with the size, a homemade shim would be the answer.
