Any mongoose specialists on here?

What's a Mongoose Pro Utah Fuzzy Hall model worth?
I've just been offered the above bike in my usual, free, skip find or YTS wage bargain basement price?
It's going to rain today and don't know to load my bike trailer up and collect or just pass it?

Comparing a low end 2001 bike to a high end 80's bike isn't exactly an accurate measure of value now is it? It would be more accurate to compare a 2001 JMC to the 2001 Mongoose. Only problem is you cant, because JMC went bust a long time ago. :daumenhoch:

Ironically I think Mongoose win this one.  :LolLolLolLol:

It was suppose to be a bit of comedy? Darrell Young was the first other BMXer I thought of?

Ok, I'll change it...
your no Harry Leary are you Tim "fuzzy" Hall, your bikes are still worth nothing...

I know why I said Darrell Young? It's got JMC Darrell Young bars on it, they must be worth the tenner he wants for the bike?

I'd give a nut up for a '97 or '98 Mongoose Fuzzy Hall F&F - came in green or chrome, US made and real good geo - put it up there with a General and a Flash for trails. Let us not dismiss the Fuzz.

But yeah Scoff - that'ns not great, but for a tenner you can't go wrong for parts etc.

I'm off shortly to throw it in the back of my bike trailer, It's white with black forks, dia-compe brakes and the Darrell Young bars, that's all I could remember when I saw it, not sure on the year of it, got to be worth a tenner?

I'll take a pocket full of change just in case, I maybe able to haggle???

If it's a 97-98 then it's a good'n, 99+ then they went all hi-ten and abroad on the Fuzz. The Fuzz you could get as frame and forks or complete in these years - completes even came with Profile cranks.

Deffo DY bars? Think it was Odyssey that did some similar ones in the 90's.

Chuck some pics up when you get it  :daumenhoch:

Cheers Dannywhac, that's the info I was looking for? I'll check on the frame number when I get my tenner on it?

Suprising what bikes are just on your doorstop? There's a lad about 7 year old, lives in the next street to me, riding what looks like a Rebel Freestyler, with CW bars and white tuffs, he told me it's his dads bike? So I need to see his dad before I try and haggle with the lad? I've already tried to swap it for some moshi monsters stickers and a kids mountain bike, no luck so far..!

Scoff's BMX collection service can't make it to Pocklington, too far to pedal back with a full load???

I'll have to change my ad's now to Scoff's North Yorkshire BMX collection service..!

I now own a Mongoose "Fuzzy Hall" and I never even got my wallet out to haggle..?

No Darrell Young bars, he's stripped the bike, but there was a Bulldog brake? Best of all it cost me nothing at all..!!!

Decals/frame shape me old mukka - combine that with the (most of the time accurate) bikepedia for post-2000 completes:

http://www.bikepedia.com/

Cross-ref with the odd copy of Ride mag.

That serial's a Taiwan serial, sometimes you can get the year off em, sometimes not. Would hazard a guess though that the '01' part means manufactured in 2001 for 2002 release. But that's a guess  :daumenhoch:
