I thought this was the reason why we bought dishwashers. To clean bike parts, tools and anything else that fits with the door shut  .

I usually finish off the more stubborn stains with the upvc cleaner I found under the sink..........

Mixture of everything - the ones that have been ridden seem to come up the best as the dishwasher strips all the grease and general crud off them.  For maximum effect I jif them first if they're looking particularly ropey.

  If you run out of Dishwasher Tablets don't do what I did and spray a load of washing up liquid in there.

The kitchen looked like a giant marshmellow when I went back, bubbles everywhere

I've sneaked a few of them in before, great brownie points if you offer to fill the dishwasher and sneak the odd wheel in, number plate and a seat, just don't forget to empty it..?
