Building a replica....
« on: September 26, 2013, 02:21 PM »
Since I first build my 79 Stu Thomson I've been keen to replicate a few iconic SE's, then built the portland bike gallery BD-III followed by a Mike King BD-III. I have 2 more projects on the go to replicate my all time fave SE photo.
Building a replica of something takes loads of time/research and a hint of getting lucky, I know plenty of bikes have been replicated or a tribute to build like Adams pink Woody, Mike Buff Rippers, Sean's stingray, Carls robbo and plenty of of Haro's and Neil Ruffell reps which are all cool  :4_17_5:

So what bike would you like to replicate ?

wouldn't mind a stab at one other the "other" 2 kuwi's from E.T one day

Or maybe the one that never made it on the right ;)

Sixteen thirty-two. What is that? A year?   No, it's your top score on Pole Position.

I'm doing a replica at the mo. Never thought I'd do one as I'm more a 'slap it together and ride it' type, but as I was gonna re-build a bike I had in the mid 90's and can't be arsed to shell out to get a frame re-chromed as I had it thought I'd go and build one like one of the riders back then.

I'd like to do a geth shooter or Pete Middleton rep  :daumenhoch:
I might actually build a bike this year instead of just hoarding parts :)

Some great ideas/wants for builds on here. It pretty much seems that most if not all of the top stars of the past have had a bike replicated at some point.

Meant the other 2 as i have seen the red ringlet one done and Sam (meticulous) did the blue ringlet one. Sounds like you have one hell of a plan going there Chris  :daumenhoch:

Yes a few times but not got round to talking about the spec of the bike  :buck2:
