Did Skyway make any BMXs after the TA?
« on: September 15, 2013, 09:58 AM »
In the college bike shed this week was a bike with blue tuffs on it. So I had a quick look, new style tuffs on it and the frame was badged up as a Skyway. The frame looked like a POS freestyler to me, but it looked original. Did Skyway make completes later on?

After the T/A we all know Skyway made a 280TA and a 300TA in the late 80's.

As for freestyle you had the Steet Beat (1 and 2), Steet Styler and Street Scene.

I might actually build a bike this year instead of just hoarding parts :)

You could have stood the other side of the post. Looks like the bike is playing hide and seek, (badly).

If you squint and look at the middle of the top tube next to the Rooster decal Andy, there be a Skyway decal. Look forward to seeing these being flipped in 25 years time.  :2funny:

Flipped?  More like gently rolled over; can you imagine picking one of them up?  ;D

You'll see. There will be a site called sadbmx and they will be swapping plastic and iron bits and telling each other how to bleach and dye utility mags. lol

I like the way you say "we all know Skyway made..."

Other than the TA, I've heard of the Street Beat but wouldn't have a clue what it looked like if you took the decals off  :-\

What's a 280 & 300 look like ???
If there's air in the tyres... it's a rider
