**Skyway** 1983 Rider Sponsored Helmet "Mike Dominguez"????

I have had this a few years and know it was imported in from the States to the UK roughly 10 Years ago. I am very fond of this lid and intended to keep it.

However It has got to the point that either a BMX goes or this lid goes.

I am not sure of its worth but have had a few offers on it already but have always declined

I didn't want to now sell it or advertise it with out trying to get some authenticity on it as I believe it to be have previously owned by Mike Dominguez???

He was riding for Skyway in 1983 and the Helmet is also Dated 1983. The Skyway Design and Rider Lettering is consistent with pics I have seen of later helmets and sponsored gear. The Skyway Logo and the Name on the rear has all been pinstriped and then painted and then peeled off the way all the lids were done back then.

How many Skyway Sponsored riders were called Mike? Any information on this would be most appreciated. I have seen some Magazine covers with a similar hemlet but I just can not zoom in enough. The decals are all seem to be original apart from the Hotshot and the JT Racing ones which are original 80's Decals which I stuck on and would recommend taking off for more authenticity.

The Helmet this printed on the inner strap.

Thanks Neil, I dont know him but have just been chatting to him on messenger Nice guy. He thought it might be Salidos as he was here in 83 on European tour and hr thinks he remembers him riding open faced lids like that.

I have put them oit museum already and haven't had much response, I have also put it on OZBMX too with little response. Prob wrong sort of time across the ponds

I also contacted Mike Domiguez too  I am waiting for Salido and then I should have it nailed down!!!

I put my money on Mr Salido, if it was Mike Dominguez helmet he would have had his surname on it as well not just Mike.

It looks like it Might be Mike Salidos
I am yet to see someones surname on a helmet? What makes you think Mike Dominguez would be the only one to have his surname ?

This Is Andy Patterson on the right wearing an Identical lid.

If you look closely you can see the Same JT Decal in the same place as mine so i am guessing this lid is def from the same season as one he raced in



I have just been chatting to Mike Salido on Facebook messenger and It appears its not his lid either .... Both Mike Canning and Darren Woods have both said that Mike Dominguez did not ride for Skyway so It looks like there is some duff information on the web relating to this!!! 

The last person to come back to me is Dominguez himself which looking at his page he doesn't use very often. Does anyone have any links to him?

I know mate its jarring me..... Contacted 4 Old School Legends Via Facebook and talked to 3 of them in facebook chat in the space of 8 hours!!!
