x2 or nail varnish remover and a cotton wool pad (takes a bit longer tho and a bit more elbow grease needed).  :daumenhoch:

About 5 mins in oven pride should do the trick, but keep checking regularly. Don't leave them in for any longer than necessary. I usually remove after a minute or so, run the parts under a tap & wipe off to remove the gloopy stuff, then re-submerge and repeat. 5 mins should be more than enough. Polish up with autosol, and behold - a mint looking caliper  "wantit"

use a old tooth brush to get into the hard to reach places or it will leave black bits in places - the tooth brush can melt if left in

used peek for a mirror/chrome look

autosol little too harsh in my eyes for a clean look

I usually throw the part in a zip lock bag, add the oven cleaner, close the bag and rub it through the bag. Keeps everything in one place. Then when your done, wash the part with soap/water seal the bag up and lob it in the bin...

Use Marigolds and paint it on with a small decorating paintbrush and keep moving the stuff around. Best way to not overcook them, do it in the sink and once the anno is off just switch on the tap. ;)

Job done
I used the oven pride in a plastic sandwich bag method ,
Basically I poured some oven pride in bag shoved the arms in for a few minutes rubbing them through the bag , then I fished em out and put them straight into a bucket of soapy water ,
Any black bits I missed I used a toothbrush dipped in the OP to clean the last few bits off ,
All the bits in the pics below were black and this is how they came out , I haven't even polished em
:)
