im not 100% convinced that they are hutch joff,i have first gens and third gens too, they look too wide at the bottom and the cross bars is too low,imo they may well be rare as hell pro neck national pro bars, they look pretty identical to those on my natty,if so they are worth a fair bit.the first gen natty bars have the thin cross bar too

ooooh ... spanner in the works  :D

There is actually a faint outline of an oval decal mark on the RHS of the bars looking from the front  , i just thought it was some random decal that had been added back in the 80's .  They came on a high end US made Hutch frameset  that had some quality parts on it  8)   It was built in the US and the lad i bought it from (who was a racer bitd .... not famous) imported it back in 83  8)

Are the dimensions the same for the Natty bars ???

Cheers Mark

Thanks for all your help lads , I think Dave probably started this rolling when he said the crossbar looked a bit low . The two bars do look very similar but i think it is the feint outline of the oval decal and the slightly lower crossbar that has convinced me they are Pro Neck bars .  Obviously having input from two lads who really know there stuff in MarkyP (self confessed bar id nut  :D) and Andy Rooski helps a lot .

Cheers lads  :4_17_5:

Just measured my pro neck pro bars and they are the same dimensions Joff down to the thin bar location.
As soon as you mentioned the oval mark that sort of clinches it.
I'm sure i read somewhere that the early hutch and pro neck bars were made by the same guy so that would be a good reason to use them on a hutch if you wanted to go something different. :coolsmiley:

Thanks for doing that Glynn , I guess that confirms it 100%  :daumenhoch:  I suppose it's not the result i ideally wanted but in terms of rarerity and obviously value it's a top result  :)

The two bars do look very similar , so the same guy making them would not surprise me .  Im sure i have read somewhere that Robinson made the early Hutch bars ...... i might be completely off the mark but there early pro bars used a very narrow crossbar aswell  :-\

I'll get them off to the chromers and they can go on one of my Hutch's ........ unless a Natty Pro comes along  :D

Cheers for confirming Glynn  :daumenhoch:
