Totally gutted about this

Took this Pro Burner for a bead blast today because it had some cracks in the gusset and i wanted it clean before being welding.

When i picked it up it had been half wrapped in bubble wrap, with gusset part sticking out, which is all i was really interested in.

Just unwrapped it now and i now have this problem.

£££££ pounds worth of frame ruined. It not so much the value, just there is only about 60 known left in existence.

At first i just saw the top of the seat tube bent in, then i realised whole rear of frame is bent to one side, and massive ding in right side rear upper tubing. I can only guess something really heavy had been dropped on it.

Looks beyond repair now?

That is going to be hard as you have taken the frame away AFTER you inspected part of it in front of them. I would still email them the pics of the damage and ask for an explanation though.

Speak to the man, Sawzall. I'm sure he will be able to help you out or at least give you the best advice to try and get that frame rectified

Take it back and argue the case if they play silly beggars small claims court it is. A lot jiggery pokery to get it back into shape but its most likely repairable

That's shocking mate, if that was done at my firm i would openly show you the damage,
apologize and offer to fix the problem at no cost to you, that's bad and really gets my
goat as many will accept there answer and sort it out themselves

just go back to the guy and show him those strange damages - and say that you love this bike and you have to have it fixed and didn't he think that it woud be fair to share the repair - as it clearly wan't you but his shop's damage....

But u must go back and get compensation. I know how u feel as I have had worse done 2 me on one of my MRD Pros  I got nearly £300 compo in kind from my chromers 

Whats the value 2 u of the frame ?

I'd want at least £220 compo or more 4 that  No brainer tell em its scrap bluff them . Don't let them fix it get it done by somebody who cares

What a pisser but all is not lost and it can be repaired with a little of the skills in guys like Steve (Animal) and Phil (Sawzall).

In terms of what to do about the damage, write it off as a lesson learnt and make sure you tell everyone on here to avoid them like the plague, never recommend them to anyone, maybe tak in a a real shitter of a job for them to bead blast and never collect it. 

Life is too short to take this as anything more than them being incompetent; don't waste your time and energy on their stupidity as that is way too expensive and precious to you and your family.

Gutted for you, I know its difficult to go back and complain.

But the boss may not know anything about it if the young lad did it, he might compensate you straight away

you'll never know unless you go and speak to them

Just go and speak to them, let them know what has happened and you want an answer as to how it happened.

Try to get some compensation, if they dont want to play ball then tell them that you will let everyone know how irresponsible they are with people's property, calmly walk away and give the local rag a call. Give them as much negative exposure as possible.

But give them the chance first. See how much integrity they have as a company.
