Just the general shape and quality. Experience as well I guess  ???

GT were the only real quality bike make which used that bent down tube design, it was then copied by countless cheap toys R us bikes which I believe comes under the umbrella of POS  :daumenhoch:

Townsend also did a version called te xposure too, and so did universal, but the ammaco was the first me I could lay my hands on, bankrupt bike parts on eBay have a load of nos ones for £20

the disc, bars, stem etc ... all seems original to the bike
http://www.kupindo.com/Road-Racing/13617217_Ammaco-Freestyle
slavic seller says "Model: Alpina ACIFIC FS"    and "Vrsta: Muski "

seen the top tube decal a few times on this now: "Freestyler"

...a cryptographologist could now tell us the exact year, please

The picture I posted was from a member on rb.com, it had been spray bombed after careful stripping this was the result, most of the freestyler was destroyed but you could make it out

Like J's said - they're all from the very late 90's and are probably still used on generic cack Toy's R Us bikes today. Looking at that frame number with it's plethora of 0000's I'd say the OP's frame was made in 2000.

From that Alpina one - it probably is all og - they sell the frames to third party companies, and they get decalled and componented up to whatever they're gonna flog em with.

thanks for the help guys , it sort of makes sence now, as when i picked it up and in the right light you could make out an "a" silhouette on the frame (down tube), anyway i will put ammaco stickers on it ;D sound better than townsend i think.
as said by pickles, i gonna strip my mongoose mid school down and change it over so i can ride it, and go from there

right off to ebay to get some stickers, thanks guys
