Great OS bikes on the gate!
« on: August 07, 2006, 05:00 PM »
I don't know about anyone else but I really got a lot of pleasure from seeing the great range of OS bikes not just lining up on the gate but being raced hard. Makes you think if they would beat new school bikes if ridden well.

Brought back such great memories seeing Skyways next to GT's, Quads and even the odd JMC and Leary Turbo!!

Well done everyone, and not one snapped frame - just goes to show eh!

Roll on the next one :daumenhoch:

a new school snapped its bars on first doubles before the racing on sunday, cleared them completely and landed hard.

old school bikes do look fantastic on the track, if i can make it next year i'll try n race my GHP (if it behaves itself)

Carl you raced well on Sunday mate, congrats again with the placing.

It was indeed good to see all the OS bikes lined up. It was like being in an 80s timewarp.

It was good to see some use being made of the bikes rather than just having them as show pieces.

Mine come home very dirty, mainly because I was at the back of the pack eating dirt. But had a great time.

Will deffo get some spoked wheels for next year though. After taking Funmonster’s Pro Class round the track it showed the difference a set of spokes make. Lovely bike Andy!  :daumenhoch:

next time I might brave a Bell open face and JT for full 80's look!

Really nice to meet you Jimwise and great to see you racing!! I was ultra impressed with the way you approached the gate mate and bagged some good results!
