Hi all,
Got given to me a raleigh aero burner pro?
Has tange Japan stamped on bottom of frame. Is this correct?
I would like to build back to factory. If anyone has any info? Would be much appreciated
I think it's pretty standard at the moment. Been outside for 20 yrs!
Has araya wheels, sugino crank, sr custom pedals, tange headset, shutout stem, kashimax seat stamped Raleigh, mx 900 with tech 3s stamped 83, suntour seat clamp
Cheers guys

Good luck getting yours how you want it mate.

Cheers Rob, I'm not sure those rims will look gorgeous after the 2 mile ride to Shotton Station at 04.50 on Saturday morning, then the 4 mile ride to Tongwell St, and the 4 miles around Willen Lake. ::)

Only 83's had v's
You got 83 & 84 frames coming with straights though Dan. I had an 83 from butts that started out life as a straight barred phase 2.

Oh, I thought it was a simple crossover, didnt realise there were several specs.

It was a simple crossover, only the v barred phase 1 & straight barred phase 2 but unbuilt 83 frames they had left in stock were used for the phase 2 as well as the 84 stamped frames.

They also did the same when the team ap came out, a few surplus 84 chrome ap's they had in stock ended up getting a team paint job straight over. A few lucky guys have ended up scoring tatty team ap's only to find a mint chrome frame underneath. The chrome ap in my bikes was one of those teams.
They just used up stock that's all.

Very iconic bike that Dan. My brother wanted one and I wanted a ProClass. We were very lucky to get a Cali for me and a Chromo Burner for him which he still has the lucky sod, 99% of it original :smitten:  All I have is my ProClass wheels left from mine :2funny:

Love the wheels - stock builds don't float my boat but I would love to build a chrome AP one day :daumenhoch:
Still limping......
