New, midschool guy
« on: July 12, 2013, 01:20 AM »
hey everyone, new guy here, just wanted to introduce myself. Name is mike and like most of you im sure, im a midschool guy.

have quite a few complete bikes, only one project as of right now. I had this bike complete at one point but just didn't like the way it came out, so tore it down and am planning a rebuild. looking for suggestions on how to build it :)

well looking forward to meeting you all and having fun here.

I'll leave the suggestions to the mid school experts but nice frameset all the same.  :daumenhoch:

Hiya mike. Great frameset there, plenty of midschool points for that. Quite a few dirtbikes, challengers and Holmes on here but few maddogs. I would hunt out a few old pics of the p.o.w's and do something along those lines with your build. Radmember "thecaptain" did a good maddog a while back, there should be a pic of it on the forum somewhere. Im a Holmes fan myself, im tall and gangly so i prefer roomy frames. Id like a go on a maddog though, just to check one out.
Keep us posted with your build.

Sweet - longer than my one = actually rideable  :daumenhoch:

That brings the total MD's now in the UK to about five I reckon  :daumenhoch:

There's the standard Peregrine sealed SP wheels, but they're (although nice) common on builds. As it's an MD, maybe something in 36 (era correct-ish) - TNT's, DK's, high flange GT's, Superlaces etc..... I've got Revcore's for my '88 MD.

Have a look online at the bmx mag scans around 1990 - there's plenty of w@nking material in them  :daumenhoch:

Or go black Skyway on the front, rear 36/48  :LolLolLolLol:
