Mongoose Supergoose 3 MX Brakes..Totally Confused ?

Hi Guys

Need some help here as I`m totally confused with which brakes to put on my 1983 Supergoose 3.

I have 2 sets stamped 1000 A and 2 sets stamped 900 both of which came off original 1983 Supergooses but reading about these brakes it seems that they should be Date Stamped, which these are not but I`m sure they are original.

Then I have another MX 1000 which came from a 1984 Californian which is stamped with everything Dia Compe...MX 1000...5583...Made in Japan and it has a Weinmann Adjuster.

Does anyone know why some of them are MX 1000 A and others just MX 1000 ?

What I really want to know is what was the original fitted to a 1983 Supergoose ?

If any Mongoose expert could help it would much appreciated, I just want the bike to look like it did when it was made but at the moment I`m totally confused with the whole brake thing

I'm sure John (Bobafett) will accurately answer this, but my 84 Supergoose 3 has MX 900s on, mine is a UK model though.

the 1000a ones are old mx1000copies made at the same time as dia compe but not made by dia compe , i think they came on lower model mongooses but i'm not sure which models
