Gyro help
« on: August 08, 2006, 05:07 PM »
hello all out there! after some hel. recently got a Federal T - Nez and have built most of it up - pics soon! 1 thing though - i tried to fit my odyssey gyro from my old bike but it doesn't seem to fit properly and as a result my rear brake is p***. i know my old bike had a regular headset and my T-Nez a hiddenset. i thought about this and bought a GTX-R lite gyro thinking this would fit. just looking at the sizing i am now not so sure. Anybody out got advice or best way to set up? running Evolver brakes front and rear and using twin cable down to brake from Gyro via London Mod. Front brake works like a dream!!

Help

Cheers

Rossi

hi rossi,

is the gtx-r clearing the headtube okay? i'd an issue with a snafu mobeus on a pantera where the inner diameter (ID) of the mobeus (gyro) was too small to clear the headtube and had to do without it. (put on a gtx (the heavier one) instead.

any other gyros u can try? (the gtx-r has a smaller ID than the gtx)

also check the top bearing cover on ur hidden headset. this may be sitting proud of ur headtube, ie bigger diameter, and the gyro's maybe hitting it.

Bp.
