Quill to adapt 22.2mm to 25.4mm??

I just wondered what the stress rate would be like and if they were any good?

I'm looking to use a NS stem Neil but have a 1" fork. I have seen these a long tome ago, made my Peregrine, but thought of having one for a build I am doing and cannot track down the Peregrine made for love nor money 

So just wondered if anyone had used this one and had no issues

I think you clamp on the NS stem and then use it as a normal 1" quill bro

Had one come in a package. Plenty strong enough. I didn't like it sat in the forks as the taper where it goes from
thin to thick shows a gap below the stem head and above the headset. Didn't do my OCD any good at all

Gt made a piston style stem with a 1" quill adapter with it, iirc mario in hk was selling one last year

mine was tight even with the 1 1/8 stem bolts only just in.  . rubber mallet'd it in .was going nowhere even without tightening while off the bike. piston stem on a 93.  sold the bike with it!

I have been looking about at a few of these and it appears that they are all alloy posts. I have never had an alloy complete stem before though.

I'm now wondering if I should just stick with OS stem

Thinking the same mate to be honest. Just grabbed a decent stem anyhow's, so all is good

.theres a steel on on e-bay UK terry.type in "quill head to a head stem" in search.

Alloy ones are really aimed at road bikes, you can get them in cro-mo though for mountain bikes, think Porkchop sells them.

I used 'em bitd to fit ahead stems to quil mountain bike forks and ours were bog standard ones at £8. I ran one myself on my Max Cromo 2 mountain bike and hammered it senseless and never had a problem one bit.

I looked at Porkies one. Not keen on the taper though, that's why I looked at other options
