Paint or leave as is?
« on: June 27, 2013, 07:39 PM »
I got my frame back from the repairers and have started to wonder if I should finally paint my bike, or continue to leave it raw?
I did get the post Zinc plated, which while it was "ok" .... wasnt a finish I was entirely happy with.

So what do you think?
Leave as or paint ..... and if paint, what colour?

Its primarily designed for flatland (and its 4130 to boot).
In terms of strength, Its held up very well so far (over a year)

And I think if I remember correctly, each chainstay can hold 300 kilos?
So there is no fear in that sense.

 :daumenhoch: cool

it's nice just the way it is. But i think it might also look good in a sort of washed out stealthy flat greyish-black  ^"^

It's a custom made 34.9mm x 400mm 4130 CrMo seat post with pivotal base.
The frame itself has a built in seat clamp (strawberry style)

Cheers to all those who replied.
At the time of design, this was partially based around the Raleigh Budgie.
As this was the first bike I started to do tricks on as a kid .... (A BMX bike cost too much money at the time)
