Can I build a Jr frameset....
« on: May 11, 2013, 02:33 PM »
with 1.75's or 1.50's?

I have been offered a lovely frame set but it is a 'Jr'. It has a 20" TT and runs a euro BB.

Any help/advice is appreciated please guys  :daumenhoch:

Yes mate. Built my mini ProClass with 1.5" rims and tyres and it looked awesome.  Bars are the tricky bit to get right though tbh :-\

Standard 890/900 calipers but the mini Renthalls were an arse to find.  Johnjo74 who bought the f&f has been after a set for ages now as he didn't think he needed them at the time. ...... :-\

Okay mate. Basically, I want to run it as a rider so, I was thinking of putting pro size bars on it, 170mm cranks, MX900/880 caliper with 1.75 rims and 1.50 tyre on rear, 1.75 tyre on the front.

I also have a DK square corner stem to use.

Would that set up be okay?

Here you go bud, I built a custom mini one for my daughter (cheers N2cus & Del).......

I think they are 1.75" tyres in the pic but I did run 1.5's on it eventually and it looked ace :smitten:

If you're wanting to replicate an authentic racebike then 1 &1/8 or 1 &3/8 wheels and tyres. If it's for general riding/use then whatever you can get to fit and work  :daumenhoch:
